The new year is almost here, but before we say goodbye to 2024 here is a recap of the top five most popular salsas on our website for this year.

No. 5 – Mesquite Chiltepín Salsa

This salsa is very hot from the extremely spicy chiltepíns, but also has a delicious smoky flavor from the roasted tomatoes, bell pepper, garlic, onions, as well as the three addictive mesquite seasonings (mesquite smoked sea salt, red mesquite salt, and white mesquite salt).

No. 1 – Chile Manzano Salsa

For the second-straight year, Chile Manzano Salsa was the most viewed salsa recipe on the website. Chile Manzanos are such a fun and unique ingredient to work with. This salsa is a combination of roasted chile manzanos, poblanos, and lime juice, making the heat and citrus flavors stand out in this special salsa. Chile Manzano Salsa will always hold a special place in my heart, as I first created it three years ago while I was visiting family in San Diego.

In case you are curious, here is where you can find Sunday Salsa’s Top Salsas for the previous three years: 2021 | 2022 | 2023

Update on Sunday Salsa:
First and foremost, thank you to everyone for their continued support of Sunday Salsa. Every year since the website began in 2021 there has been a steady increase in visitors and views. Those totals nearly tripled in number in 2024. I’m grateful that Sunday Salsa continues to be a place where people can find fun and helpful salsa recipes.

There were less new recipes this year, as I focused on finishing nursing school and starting my new career, but I still enjoy every moment I can get in my kitchen and garden.

Also if you are on Instagram, give us a follow at @SundaySalsa, as I’ve been posting a lot of fun videos and photos of my salsas, variety of foods, gardening, and on occasion book recommendations. I hope that everyone has an awesome 2025.

!Buen Provecho!
